Rebecca Dobbins
Rebecca Dobbins spent fifteen years on the front lines of some of the world's most complex humanitarian crises - Sudan's invasion of Abyei in 2011, Sierra Leone during the Ebola response, Darfur, Baghdad, Ukraine, Gaza, CAR - working with the United Nations and international organizations on emergency response, civilian protection, and humanitarian coordination across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
That work eventually led her to a question she couldn't outrun: could there be more - a way to still do good in the world while also doing right by yourself? It led her out of the field and into an award-winning global coaching practice specialising in what researchers call "lifequakes" - the transitions that reshape identity, direction, and sense of self.
A two-time internationally bestselling author, Certified Master Professional Coach, and PQ Coaching Grant recipient (Positive Intelligence, 2026), Rebecca has lived in nine countries across five continents and visited more than 100. She knows firsthand that life is best lived in chapters - and that whenever you sense there could be more, there probably is.
Workshop
The Next Chapter: Navigating Identity, Transition and What Comes Next
Friday, April 10 @12pm EDT / 6pm CET / 7pm EAT
Maybe you haven't made any decisions yet. Maybe you're not even sure something needs to change. But there's a quiet feeling that won't quite go away - that there could be more. That something is shifting. That the chapter you're in, as meaningful as it has been, might be coming to a close.
For women in this sector, that feeling is complicated. Because humanitarian isn't just a job - it's an identity, a community, a way of making sense of your place in the world. Walking away, even partially, can feel like losing yourself. Like betraying the work. Like not knowing who you are without it.
This workshop is for you - wherever you are in that process. Drawing on fifteen years in the field, a lifequake transition out of it, and years of coaching women through the moments that reshape everything, this is a space to pause, reflect, and take one honest step forward.
What you will discover:
The questions you have been quietly asking yourself all along - and what they might already be telling you about your next chapter
How to recognise when a chapter is closing - not because it was wrong, but because it has run its course
Why leaving something that no longer serves you is not failure or betrayal - and how to give yourself permission to go, even if that means with one foot still inside the door while you figure out what your next chapter looks like
Practical tools for the in-between, and why everything you have done is more transferable than you think - and how to start seeing it that way
